Discover how we're creating sustainable change across Mozambique
AFC-UATAF's 2023-2027 strategy is built on four integrated pillars designed to tackle the root causes of poverty in Mozambique's most vulnerable provinces. Our approach combines economic development, social inclusion, environmental protection, and institutional strengthening.
Promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth to strengthen employment opportunities, reduce poverty, and improve living conditions for vulnerable populations.
Early childhood education, quality basic education, life skills for youth, and adult literacy programs.
Poverty reduction, unemployment programs, and strengthening economic pathways for youth.
Ensuring social inclusion and environmental protection by promoting equity, protecting natural resources, and improving living conditions for vulnerable populations.
Maternal and child health, food security, nutrition programs, and adolescent health.
Water and sanitation, solid waste management, and renewable energy initiatives.
Environmental education, sustainable agricultural practices, and natural resource management.
Strengthening peace, institutional stability, and fostering strategic partnerships to promote effective governance and conflict resolution.
Developing and implementing programs to protect children's rights and prevent abuse.
Reducing gender-based violence and promoting women's rights and participation.
Addressing root causes of conflicts and supporting internally displaced persons.
Strengthening AFC-UATAF's capacity to implement sustainable projects and effectively respond to poverty challenges through organizational development.
Strengthening internal team capacity and collaboration with local organizations.
Diversifying funding sources and developing sustainable revenue models.
Investing in organizational systems, procedures, and logistical support.
How we ensure our programs create lasting change in communities
Programs are designed and implemented with active community participation
Addressing multiple aspects of poverty through interconnected programs
Focusing on long-term impact rather than short-term fixes
Collaborating with local and international organizations for greater impact
In our 2023-2027 strategy, AFC-UATAF is transitioning from an education-focused approach to one that prioritizes solving immediate problems while maintaining educational components. This shift allows us to respond more effectively to the urgent needs of communities while still building knowledge and skills for long-term development.
Our programs now focus on tangible solutions to critical issues like inadequate sanitation, lack of infrastructure, food insecurity, and health crises, while integrating educational elements that ensure communities can maintain and expand upon these solutions independently.
Your donation directly supports our integrated programs across all four pillars, helping us create sustainable change in vulnerable communities.
